Finally, the address they list is their home address which is the most useful, real example of how they do their job…
I spoke to a fellow landlord who told me that his property manager had hired Gary to paint one of his apartments (which they later had to repaint and scrub the paint off the floors). I decided to use my own (frail) judgement and hire him anyways, only to be proved wrong.
Bottom line: Avoid him like the plague; he is dishonest and does shoddy work. As with any company, do your research. Beware of companies/people who take advantage of others. If I were to do it all over again, I’d go with TIm Bovee (whose motto is actually “No job too big or too small”) or Junk Junky; they are both reputable, REAL companies in the area - I wish I’d known that sooner!
We came to town to make arrangements for my father’s funeral and to put his house on the market. After getting several estimates for both junk removal and interior painting we, regrettably, decided to hire Gary (aka G & C Properties Services). The junk removal process took longer than estimated (4 days instead of “a few hours”), thus delaying the process of selling my father’s home. We were very dissatisfied with the painting; there was paint all over the floor and he probably had more paint on him than what he got on the walls. To top it off, several household items were missing from one of the bedrooms that was MARKED as “off-limits” (as we were still sorting other household items) including a lamp, a jewelry box, a portable DVD player, among others. I know these items may not be worth much, but that’s besides the point. Every time I came back to check on him, he was smoking INSIDE the house (which is unacceptable as it was a smoke-free home; not that I have a problem with smoking, but he could have at least stepped outside to smoke). The job was left unfinished with the promise of him finishing it on Monday, but he never showed up. It finally took a few (unanswered, unreturned) phone calls and some research to find out this “company” is a rip-off.
EDIT: Gary, an LLC is a Limited Liability Company. You can't be a registered business in NYS if you are NOT an LLC. Therefore, you can't have business insurance Your response just proves your ignorance and your intent to deceive people. Furthermore, if there is anything worse than a company that deceives consumers, it's a company that denies to take responsibility for their wrongdoings.
I searched the LLC database (should have done that in the first place) and was not able to find them (if they’re not an LLC then they are definitely NOT “fully insured” as advertised). On their (poorly written) website, they claim to be an accredited Better Business Bureau “company”; again, it takes a quick search to find out that this isn’t true either - while they are listed on their website, they are NOT accredited by them. It’s worth to note that he does NOT provide property management services, as he is not a licensed real estate salesperson/broker (even though he stated that he is).
If you are looking for hard working people that get the job done, call these guys. Needed debris removal, and was very happy with their work. Very happy with them. Neat, responsible, and thorough!!
Reliable, prompt, did an excellent job..very pleased!
Gary Hall is terrible. Don’t do business with him. We thought he was a trust-worthy, reliable guy, but he proved to be a rip-off.
If you want reliable, honest, and great service, do NOT go with these people. Save yourself the headache and find someone else.
